Enhanced HDMI compatibility with 8K processing and HDCP 2.3

Denon has upgraded the HDMI specs of this latest model to cater for the growing 8K video and next-gen gaming market. Previous models introduced limited 8K processing, along with gaming features like Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Quick Frame Transport (QFT). These features have been applied to the AVR-X2800H on three HDMI inputs and both HDMI outputs, offering superb flexibility when it comes to connecting up other devices. All the HDMI inputs are compatible with 4K/60Hz sources while three inputs and both outputs are compatible with 4K/120Hz and 8K/60Hz, perfect for the latest games consoles.

Choose your voice assistant

Compatible with Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant, the AVR-X2800H works with your choice of voice assistant. For Alexa or Google Assistant control, simply download the HEOS app. Pair with your Echo device if you’re using Alexa and you’re good to go – adjust the volume, skip to the next track and switch inputs simply by asking Alexa or Google. For control via Siri, simply link the amp via Apple AirPlay 2 and enjoy voice interaction and AirPlay 2 multi-room support.

High-resolution audio via USB input

Discover the incredible fidelity of high-resolution audio tracks and enjoy music as the artist intended. A front USB port supports up to 24bit/192kHz hires audio playback from a USB drive. Supported audio formats are MP3, WMA, WAV, MPEG4/AAC, FLAC, and ALAC.

Bluetooth audio transmitter

Pair your favourite Bluetooth headphones with your AV receiver to continue listening to your favourite music, movies, or TV programmes at night. You can also play audio from both speakers and Bluetooth headphones simultaneously. If you have a family member or a friend who is hearing impaired, we recommend this setup. You can connect one pair of headphones at a time.

Multi-source, multi-room

This AV receiver supports two-source, two-zone audio. By connecting a pair of speakers in a second room to the AV receiver, it’s possible to enjoy 5.1 channel surround sound in the main room and a separate source or music stream in the second room, such as a den or patio. You can also play the same audio in both rooms, so everyone in your home can enjoy and cheer your favourite team on Sunday evening or listen to the same song in both rooms. The AV receiver supports 2-source, 2-zone audio.

Simple Set-up

The award-winning Denon Setup Assistant supplies simple, clear instructions to get started. Just connect your AV receiver to your TV and follow the instructions on the TV screen to connect your speakers, perform speaker measurements, and connect source devices. For additional convenience, the AV receiver renames HDMI inputs automatically when connected or you can rename manually at your convenience.

This iOS or Android control app allows you to turn the receiver on and off, select an input source, adjust volume level, and browse music from your phone or in a USB drive when connected to the receiver.
