The Pro-Ject Automat A1 turntable combines elegant, minimalist design with purist audiophile principles to deliver exceptional sound quality. This high standard is achieved through the use of premium, anti-resonant materials and advanced technology at every stage of its construction. From the sturdy wooden base on four silicone-damped feet to the damped metal platter and reinforced headshell, each component is carefully crafted to prevent unwanted resonances, ensuring clear, precise playback.
A standout feature of the A1 is its fully automatic belt-drive system. Originally developed by Alfred Fehrenbacher GmbH in St. Georgen, Germany, this well-regarded technology provides a smooth, quiet, and reliable automatic operation at both 33 and 45 RPM. Simply select the playback speed and press START—the A1 takes care of the rest.
Adding to its convenience, the A1 has a built-in moving magnet (MM) phono stage, allowing it to connect to most audio systems with a LINE or AUX input. The phono stage can also be switched off for setups that already have, or plan to add, an external phono pre-amp.
The A1 features a sturdy, lightweight aluminium tonearm designed for Ortofon’s popular OM cartridge series. Pre-installed with the OM 10 cartridge, featuring an elliptical diamond stylus profile, the A1 is ready for plug-and-play use straight out of the box. The OM series also allows for stylus upgrades, enabling further sound enhancement.
As a true Pro-Ject creation, the A1 is made in Europe with meticulous standards, offering both a stylish look and premium sound quality. With a detachable dust cover and Pro-Ject’s Connect-IT E RCA phono cables included, the A1 is designed to provide a near plug-and-play experience while delivering an authentic hi-fi sound.

Delivery & Returns
Delivery & Returns
We offer free next day delivery on all orders over £99. For orders under £99 a delivery charge of £7.50 will be applied.
Cut-off time for next day delivery is 3pm Monday-Friday. Items ordered after 3pm on Friday will be shipped on Saturday for Monday delivery. Orders placed after 1pm on Saturday or on Sunday will be despatched on Monday for Tuesday delivery. (please allow an extra day if a bank holiday falls within this period).
Our delivery partner DPD offers an interactive messaging service and will provide a 1-hour time window for your delivery so please provide a mobile phone number where possible.
Some items are not available on a next day delivery service, in these cases the selected product page will display the expected delivery time. If you would like to double check the delivery time prior to ordering please call 01932 851121 or email sales@weybridge-audio.co.uk.
* Remote and offshore locations are excluded from the free delivery service. For these locations we offer a standard 2-3 day delivery
service at £16 per item.

Cancellations & Returns
At Weybridge Audio we want our customers to be happy with their purchase which is why we offer a 30-day no-hassle return policy on all products purchased through our website. If you would like to return an item please call us on 01932 851121 or email to sales@weybridge-audio.co.uk including your name, address, and original order number. The cost of returning an item is the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty in which case we will arrange to collect the faulty item at our expense.
Items must be returned to us in 'as new' condition, complete with all original packaging and accessories. Refunds will be processed within 5 days of receiving the item, subject to the above terms being met.
